ENSEMBL
Traditionally, cookware manufacturers have relied on rivets to attach handles. Unhappy with both the aesthetics and user-experience resulting from rivets, ENSEMBL wanted to explore other options.
Rejecting a manufacturing mainstay in lieu of a more innovative alternative, Stackware foregoes traditional rivets and relies on bespoke laser welds to attach the side brackets. The result is a clean, sleek interior, that streamlines cleaning and adds unexpected visual appeal.
Working with a team of expert engineers and craftsmen, we explored ways to create strong metal bonds on the vessel’s exterior – without leaving markings on the inside.
The result is Stackware’s bespoke laser-welded side bracket. Each piece is precision welded by hand, allowing for a single clean welding line around each bracket.
On the inside, the absence of rivets simplifies the cleaning process by eliminating a hard-to-scrub area that is prone to capture and trap food debris.
At the same time, without the rivet, the eye is not distracted, resulting in a clean, seamless interior surface, akin to vessels more commonly used to serve.
