Use and Care of Stackware: Removable Handle (the Product)

The Product is designed to be used and cared for as follows:

  • For use with Stackware’s stainless steel cooking vessels: the small saucepan, medium saucepan, steamer, fry pan, and braise pan.
  • When attached to the cookware, use caution before touching the Product as it may become hot. Always use protective insulating aides such as oven mitts or thick dry towels before touching, lifting, or moving the Product.
  • To attach:
    • Pull bag the trigger located on the underside of the Product.
    • Insert the pill-shaped head of the Product into the pill-shaped opening of the fixed side handle.
    • Lower the Product until the pill shape is inserted completely into the fixed side handle – the two parts will be parallel – and release the trigger. The slider below will now be connected to the underside of the fixed side handle. You will see the lock-slider push underneath the fixed side handle and hear it “click” in place. The Product is now attached.
  • To remove:
    • Unlock the Product by pulling the trigger back. This will release the lock slider. Next, angling it upwards at 45 degrees, lift the Product upward to remove.
  • Always confirm the Product is securely attached to the cooking vessel’s fixed side handle before lifting. If the lock-slider is not in place on the underside of the fixed-side handle, the Product is not attached and the Product must be adjusted and reattached to confirm a secure connection before proceeding.
  • Always detach the Product when cooking on the stovetop. Reattach the Product when you need to move the cooking vessel. When the Product is attached, it may become hot. By removing it, you will help ensure the Product is cool to the touch when you need to use it.
  • Always remove the Product before placing the cookware in the oven. The Product is not oven safe.
  • When lifting the Stackware’s cooking vessels with the Product, we recommend holding the other fixed side handle, using a protective insulating aide such as an oven mitt or thick dry towel, for additional support.
  • For cleaning:
    • Do not submerge the Product in cold water while it is hot. Always allow the Product to cool to room temperature before cleaning.
    • Always clean the Product with non-abrasive sponges or cloths; do not use wire or metal tools as they may scratch the Product.
    • Wash the Product with warm soapy water.
    • Towel dry before putting away.
    • Do not wash in the dishwasher.
